My son has mild to moderate crohn's his 21 diagnosed 2 years ago, symptoms for 5 years no surgery or meds, symptoms are getting more regular and intense, he has been offered pentassa a while ago but has refused .

I read about serovera, but looking on the net its hard to find anything/anyone that is not an advertisement put out by serovera, i know there is e13boy on here but a lone voice and thats about it, i've looked alot on the net, serovera have it all sown up as far as i can make out ! .

So before my son goes on the pentassa i thought he could try the serovera
I have some arrived today he will start on it tomorrow .

Is serovera so expensive because they spent so much on advertising !!
or will it help my sons crohns symptoms !!

I will post back here with an update

Hey there, just started that little research project myself and found the same thing. My theory on all of that stuff is it is expensive becuase human nature tells us that if it is expensive it must work. But then I am pretty jaded about this kind of thing. I am pretty curious about this stuff. Sounds good though. Good luck and let us know!

Serovera update

Hi

My son has been on the serovera for over a month now.

I have seen a marked improvement in my son almost immediately after he
started taking the serovera. He seemed to have pain constantly everyday before and now i cant remember the last time he complained of pains.

Also the fact i have not logged onto this site for tips speaks volumes

I guess i am going to have to re-order some although its very expensive it has to be worth it rather than seeing him in pain .

My son had no preconception before he started taking the serovera, i did not elaborate to him on the claims of what it could do, he also takes multi vitamins, fishoils and iron so this was just another pill for him to take.

His lifestyle is not so good at times, binge drinking and smoking at weekends, when he drinks spirits he suffers the most .

Anyone else who has got experience with serovera please let me know

thanks

Hi Joe - Glad to hear the Serovera is working well for your son!

Hope it continues to help him feel good - and tell him to lay off the binge drinking!

Hi Simon,

I am so pleased for your son.I am also so pleased for you.I totally understood your sceptisism before your son took Serovera, but from what you have posted your decision to try it was the right one.To see a quick improvement & watch your son not complain about pain must of been a real pleasure for you.Having not built up your sons hopes,he must be so thankful to you.

During the time you have not been on here we have another forum member (soiledshorts) a UC sufferer who has posted about success with AMP.

Re price of Serovera - have you considered joining the Paypass club, which gives excellent discounts.I am a Max paypass member, which allows me up to 40% discount if i purchase 6 bottles & free serolife probiotics - on maintenance (3 capsules p/d) it works out to £20 per month.

From my experience( and other people i've contacted) it is important to follow the doseage guide & be free of All symptoms, then reduce to maintenance level.

So,so pleased for you.

Best Wishes

That's great to hear another person getting into concentrated-AMP treatments! I'd recommend most people try it to see if it works for them.

From what I've read, it seems the price is mostly due to the process of extracting the right supplements from the aloe plant, however I wouldn't be surprised if part of the price goes towards marketing. I do admit that it's hard to find information out there that's not being advertised by a company, Serovera especially.

That's mainly one of the reasons I decided to try out someone else, I found Serovera to be a bit too pushy and...market-y? I called up several of these online retailers to get a bit more information about their products. The people at AloeElite were the least pushy, I talked to the lady there for like 20 minutes before she even mentioned their product. That's what I liked, it's like talking to counselor.

However, it's great to know you're discovering new alternatives for your son. If you find any more non-biased information, please let me know! Keep us updated on his condition!
