Hello,
I'm not sure whether or not I should call the GI nurses or not because I'll be going to the hospital next Tuesday for my monthly check up. But I've been having really bad headaches, like it hurts to look at anything or keep my eyes open and whenever I put my hand on my forehead it feels like I have a fever.
Also I seem to be losing my appetite and whenever I eat I feel like i'm going to throw up afterwards and it feels like my stomachs all stuffy (if you know what I mean), and I've been really tried even though I haven't done anything extreme.
Am I having a "flare" cause I've been pretty 'healthy' since I was diagnosed with crohn's.
Thanks so much.

Dunno if its a flare or virus ect. (I had symptoms like that along with abdominal pain, nausea and sometimes vomiting during a flare). No harm in calling and speaking to the GI nurses. It's part of their job to inform the doctor of your condition when you call to see if you need a sooner appointment or if the doctor thinks you should seek immediate care. ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry.

Also, something to always have on hand is a thermometer so you can be sure if you have a fever or not. High fevers can kill brain cells over time.

Try Tylenol, eat smaller meals if you can tolerate food and drink plenty of fluids (broth, tea, juice, gatorade, water etc) until you hear back from your GI or the nurse. Keep us posted. :)

Thank you. I will call the nurses soon and talk with them. I wasn't sure but now I am. :ysmile: I tried taking Tylenol but it only helped for an hour or so and the headaches came back again.
