I'm 36 now and was diagnosed at 25. Back 11 years ago part of my finding out I had Crohns came from an abscess near my tailbone that was the result of a fistula that was connected to my sphincter muscle. They had to do an advanced flap surgery to seal it off. Ever since then I've had narrow poops and was wondering if this gets better or stays this way? Is the narrow poops from the advanced flap procedure or is it because my intestines are inflamed? It's not that it's any worse but I'm wondering if other Crohn's peeps have skinny poos even without the advanced flap?

I haven't had a flap surgery but I always had the skinny ones even before the resection surgery. Mine are pale (yellow), and skinny.

I am scheduled for a flap. I currently have a seton in.

Can you tell me why the 3 day hospital stay? Why all the fiber he says they will pump by body with prior to surgery? I am hesitant to do this, but I will get it done to take care of my fistula/abscess. Have dealt with it for 3yrs now. I did have a fistulatomy back in Feb, but 3 weeks later the abscess came back. The general surgeon then handed me over to a rectoral surgeon.

I do not have chron's (have been tested). I guess I am just lucky...

How long will I have to be off of work? Any experince stories are greatly appreciated...
