daisy, theymake little bowl shaped thingies specifically for sitz baths that you fill up and then set on your toilet! then you sit and your butt is submereged
im not sure where you can get one though, ive just got a bunch leftover from hospital stays. maybe a home health store would carry them?

My butt hurts and is so sore right now....
No, I am fine.
OHHH wait - you weren't talking about me. My name has capitals I guess.
I MUST agree with Kello on the Calmoseptine. It is amazing stuff. I have used a LOT of butt pruducts and this one is the best! KatieSue got some on my recommendation, and she said "MBH, I think I love you..." Seriously - it's that good. it will stop your pain almost instantly, and it heals as well. Daisy - you can order it online. Just type it in, and some site will pop up - drugstore.com or something.

I asked at the pharmacy for this Calmoseptine and they said they didnt carry it, does anyone know if its available in Canada?

sits baths!!! Buy one!! You just sit it on the toilet, hook up your hot water bag and Hallelujah!!! Check it out at your local pharmacy - ones that carry walkers and adult diapers may carry it...ask your pharmacist where you could purchase one if not...seriously people when you are sore down below I could not live without my sits baths...especially if you have fistulas.. O lordy!!

This is what it looks like and it is a wonder!

i found it at the pharmacy at Target. are there Target stores in Canada? sorry im clueless about stuff like that!

No Target stores in Canada! Didn't even know such a thing existed...we are clearly deprived up north. I think if there's any sort of seats for the butts its for HEAT.

I think you could order calmoseptine from the US over the internet. I've been thinking about doing it, but my needs tend to be intermittent, so I forget about it in between times. I've also wondered if it's marketed in the UK under a different name, but drew a blank on that one.
I was recommended some stuff called Siopel in the UK, which is very good, but I think it's more for itchiness (for instance, caused by constant scrubbing with toilet paper) rather than pain... but it definitely calms everything down a bit

My butt hurts too so I sympathise, I think we all do. The only sort of solution I've found so far is children's toilet wipes as opposed to paper and butt cream! But they're both obvious options and don't totally solve the issue.

I went to use the bathroom during work today and thought, oh...my butt hurts! I laughed to myself because I thought of you My Butt Hurts. Funny that this was the tread I read.

Anyone remember TUCKS from having kids? I may revisit those.

sits bath...named for the fact that you sit while you're on them?? I should have caught on to that sooner!! haha. do you put anything in it??? My grammie used to make me sit in a tub with epsom salts when my bum was sore when I was younger.

ive heard of people putting epsom salts in it, and ive used them in a bathtub bath before.
but i usually just take the sits baths just water. i dont think the salts really do anything. not postive though! maybe theyre magical salts.....

From the google search I did Calmoseptine is available in Canada, US, Australia and Philipines.
Go direct to their website www.calmoseptineointment.com
Sorry Steve they dont seem to be supplying the UK!

They don't ship orders less than a case from that website anyways.
I don't know if www.drugstore.com ships to the UK, but they have it for $15. It seems like you would have SOME sort of drug store site there that would carry it.

WOO-HOO!! I'm a detective!!! I found 2 of them on ebay UK!!! Buy it now for 3.99 plus 3.99 shipping. GET IT STEEEEEEEEEVEEEEE!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha MBH

Glad you came up with something for those of us across the pond from you and yes you were right about "cases" only shipped which I laughed about thinking about the "lifetime" supply that could be awarded for your research etc

Good to see it is available over here though!

Well done you lol

SCORE!

I just scored some in my local Safeway's pharmacy department. You have to ask for it -- they keep it behind the counter.

My neighbourhood Rexall didn't have it in stock, but the pharmacist said he could special order it and get it within 24 hours.

Shouldn't be hard to find it. The bigger chains should have it.

I'm so excited! I should have myself one happy ass!

I SWEAR they keep it behind the counter cuz it's extra important or something.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to let the stuff fall into the hands of street dealers.

Ass Caviar!

Asscrack crack!

Four hours later and it's healing beautifully.
