So I've made my mind up I'm giving celexa a chance I've been stressing and worrying way to much this summer I'm afraid I've turned into a person who is depressied and anxious all the time which is affecting me mentally and physically I can't breath my back hurts and is tight I'm constantly in worse case scenario mood and it's affecting my family as well. I know stress is awful for Crohn's so if anyone has some good experiences with anti depressants and easing the mind of constant worry please let me know guys of course I'm nervous about starting these meds I'm a worrier!!!!!

I think it is great you are starting Celexa. Like I said in my prior post, it really helped me. In a couple of weeks you should start feeling better! Good luck!

I've been needing a change of attitude for a long time and me and my wife hope this is the Jo start I need!!! I got do many lil pains and issues going on it would be impossible to diagnose them all and I'd as 90% r made up then the other 10% is Crohn's

These medication are really one step at the time.
In due time, with the opinion of your doctor, when your depression/anxiety(whichever issue you are taking it for) will be under control for a certain period of time, you will be encourage to progressively come off of it.

So to the question "easy to come off", there is not only one answer. For certain person it will be easier, for other, it can be longer. The important point is really not to come off of it on your own in one shot and, considering the type of medication it is, this is only a normal response of your body.

One thing is sure, it helps some people a lot. You seem to express the fact your symptoms were causing your daily concerns and, on that aspect, I believe it worth a try.

I hope it helps you feeling better.
