So today I went and had to get a 3rd opinion on my diagnosis of chrohns disease. The doctor I saw today believes that it is chrohns, and that the medicine I am taking (Pentasa/Imuran) will not treat my condition. That and the fact the my condition has not improved.
He will be contacting my current GI and let him know that he highly recommends that I be put on Entocort and that if it is going to work, it will start in a few days. He was talking about Prednisone too but I told him I want that as a last resort.
So I guess I just wanted to share my short update to my treatment, but was also wondering what was your story with entocort (If you have taken it) and did it work ? How many mg were you on ? And anything I should look out for once I start it ? Thanks in advance.
