stomach pain AND NAUSEA

hi

this is such a helpful place. My relative, 24, has crohn's. He is on remicade (3 infusions). After this last infusion he has been nausea and has had stomach pain off and on for a week.... is that common?

For most medication's , the first side effects listed are Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting.

I can't tell you if that is the medication causing his problems, or just the Crohn's disease. Most people start to have relief of their Crohn's symptoms while on the Remicade. I would call the doctor and let him know what's going on. What other meds is he on? You can check the treatment threads to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

i have also had 3 infusisions of infliximab and was really sick feeling after the first and was told it was common but with my crohns i feel like that a lot of the time anyway., but no harm in asking

Ginger capsules, or raw Ginger, can help with nausea. Ginger is also antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and has many other health benefits.
