Ok, I have a question. I have not been dx yet, I am still waiting for tests. My regular doctor sent me to the lab to get this stool test kit called InsureFIt. You are suppose to have a BM and then in this kit there is a paintbrush that you just swipe over your stool in the toliet and smear it on the card. Well here is the thing. My doctor when she gave me the script, she put on there Times2. So the lady at the lab gives me two of these packets. She explains to me how to do it. Well on each cardboard there is two places to smear the stool. The lab lady told me to just use the same BM to fill in both places, that it did not matter. OK, so I did this when I used the washroom on Friday. I decided to call the company( there was a number on the test kit you could call with questions). I wanted to see if the one had to be refridgerated while I waited to have another BM to do the other kit. Well the lady at the company says to me, " NO, you did it wrong, you are suppose to only have 1 kit to begin with and you are suppose to use 2 seperate BM's to fill in each square.". I told her, that is not what the lady at the lab told me to do, and that my doctor said she wanted 2 of them done. Well I got all into it with this lady and decided to just hang up and go to the lab and talk to the lady who told me what to do. She was pretty useless. I told her what the company said and she read the instructions and was like, oh, I see, I guess you were suppose to use 2 different BM's. Well, done worry about it.

Ok, I am at this point just disgusted because I have already been going through hell just trying to get in to even see a GI doc! So my anger is like at a 10 right now. I just did the stool test the way the lab lady tech said to. I used the same BM for the second 2 panel card as well, like I did with the first. I hope it does not mess things up!

OK here is my question finally ( sorry I was so long winded, I just wanted to explain everything). My husband went out and bought these test papers that can detect blood in the stool. You just throw the paper in the toilet after you have a bM. If it is positive, there will be blue spots on the test paper. I used on the other day that was negative. Then I used one today after I took the sample for that test kit. Well this time there was a tiny , and I mean tiny little pin head size blue dot on the paper. ( this is considered positive). When I used the toilet it was a bit hard coming out in the beginning so I am sure my anal area was irritated a bit. They say on the paper that you are not suppose to use them if you have bleeding hemmorhoids and such. Well now I am wondering if the test that I am sending to the lab( as I used this same BM for that sample is going to show positive. With these tests, how can one be sure if your blood came from inside or just from a tiny scratch that happened after you had a BM??? I mean I do not think they have a tool to measure how much blood it is. I think with these cardboard tests, they are either positive or negative. How can this be a true accurate result???

OK I watched the video on how to do it: http://www.insuretest.com/how-to-use.php

Its two separate bowel movements. You do not need to refrigerate.

It says to not do it if there's visible blood. Yet it also tests for hemorrhoids. Basically its just testing for blood in the stool after that its up to your doctor to figure out where the blood is coming from which means more tests.

Hope I didn't just piss you off lol. :p

Thanks Crabby, No you did not piss me off at all. You are wonderful to take the time out to help me. What pisses me off if that the Lab tech could not even give me the correct directions on how to do the test. Ughh, I am getting so fed up with doctors and western medicine. Thanks again Crabby..
