Stricture questions

Hi-
I am brand new to the forum- been reading/visiting for the past year but just signed up. Today has been not so good an I’m looking for advice-. I thought I was just getting a fareup with urgency and pencil-thin BMs this morning. Each time I went was followed by nausea and wretching but didn’t throw up. A few hours ago had little diarrhea followed by nausea. Still feeling urgency but nothing happens and now dull pain in low abdomen. Each time I try, I have the nausea and wrenching phase again. Could this be just a flare or does it sound like a structure? Can I wait until monday to call Dr or is this “ER” worthy? I have steroids, Zofran, anti-spasm for colon, and pain meds so I can try to make it thru the weekend. Just wondering if there’s any risk if it was indeed a stricture. Thanks for any and all responses

Might be a partial blockage caused by a stricture. Shift to a low residual diet for a day and see if symptoms improve. If they do then is a stricture. Eat soft low fibre food, white bread, boiled rice lean meat etc and chew all food very very well.

sounds more like a flare or something bad you ate... hard to conclude it's a stricture without imaging... if things get worse dont hesitate to go to ER, they may do some blood exams and a scan to see what's happening.
