My body temp has been really weird lately, each time for the past 2 months I go to bed my temp goes quite high and I start to get feverish I try to sleep but it is impossible when I feel so yucky :( when I do mange to get some sleep it is only for about 2 hours and when I wake up I always feel like I am going to faint :yfaint:, anyone know why??
My temp goes up and down throughout the day as well.

I only just came out of hospital last Tuesday due too collapsing after taking azathioprine and mild Crohn's flare up, I've been on aza for a year or so.

Are you still taking Azathioprine or have they discontinued that? Did they give an indication as to why you collapsed?

How high are your temperatures getting? If you feel like fainting and there is rapid fluctuation you might need to go back to the hospital or at least your doctor. Are you sweating a lot and losing fluids, diarrhea? You may be dehydrated and need electrolytes and more fluids.

They are still continuing with the aza, I did make it clear to them that is why I collapsed, but as usual they think it was something else which I have no idea what that could be. My temperature is reaching 40+ at the minute I do sweat quite a bit and I have had diarrhea but it comes on and off, for the past couple of days I haven't been able to go properly and it is quite painful  which is driving me insane :ybatty: :voodoo: could I have picked up a bug or something from being in hospital??

40 Celsius? That's a 104 Fahrenheit fever. Please go to the emergency room. Your high fever coupled with the faintness is dangerous.

You should reiterate that you only feel this way on this medication. It could be something else but they need to look into it. Anytime you are in the hospital you risk picking up a bug. Whatever the cause please get under some care.

I agree with NGNG, get it investigated.
You could also take 2 paracetamol at bedtime and lots of water. Paracetamol will bring your temp down.

I will make sure I go to my doctor, but the really annoying thing is :ymad: this happened while I was in hospital and they gave me something for it (not to sure what) but overall they didn't think much of it :yfrown: They basically just said to see what happens next which was really really annoying :runaway:. All I can say is "now look what's happened" :ybatty:

That remark is a bit flippant innit?
When you were in hospital did you see any gastro docs and nurses or just general ones?
Have you got a follow up appt with your gastro team?
If not, why not? It all seems a bit twee to me, collapsing and fainting and a 'suck it and see' attitude?
I'd be on the phone demanding and being very assertive! It's your right!

I was in hospital from 21st Sunday to 23rd Tuesday, I didn't actually see gastro doc instead I saw some other person-he was absolutely useless, I haven't yet got a follow up apt and my gastro doc I think he doesn't know as much as he think he does. Every time I talk to him it's like trying to talk deaf person(not meaning any offense to anyone who's deaf), so every time I go to see him I just think why what is the point when he isn't going to listen to me or do anything about what I am trying to tell him Grrrrrrrrr :angry-banghead: :runaway: :angry-banghead:. I have already had to complain about this but once again they say they are going to do something about it but they don't Grrrrrrrr :ymad:. Sorry if I have ranted on but it has really annoyed me to the when sometimes I don't think I should bother with him anymore!! :duh: :ybatty:.

Aw we need the HUG button back!
If you're not getting anywhere then go back to your GP and ask for a referral to another hospital, this is your right to choose where you get your treatment from. Your GP may huff n puff but he has to comply whether he likes it or not!
Make that call, insist and persist xxx
