I would love if anyone had any information or could share your experiences with me.

I have been flaring badly for the last month and after speaking to my consultant on Friday, and having a colonoscopy yesterday I've been told that surgery is probably the next thing for me. I have been on azathioprine for years but it isnt working for me any more, and I'm currently on the Humria injections and they dont seem to be having any effect for me.

I have a stricture in my bowel that was found at the end of last year and yesterday this was seen again, and they said the narrowing is around the thickness of a pencil. I have to wait for a call this week to see what they want to do with me but they have now spoken about surgery.

I'm not worried about having this any more, and I will do what it takes to stop having so many problems, but has anyone else had a stricture and what happened? has anyone else had surgery for the same/similar thing?

Obviously they dont know what is going on past the stricture, but given the amount of bleeding thats going on makes me wonder what else could be past there that we dont know about.

And just to end my delirious ramblings, I had my scope just using entonox yesterday which is a trial they are using and I have to say it was great. Last time I had that I was in labour with my daughter and it just made me laugh! Mind you, I soon stopped giggling once they started with that camera!! :ylol:
