I might be having an ileocecectomy. This will be my first surgery of any kind and my very first hospitalization. I have been seeing a GI doctor at
University of Michigan hospital since I was diagnosed with Crohns
11 years ago. Has anyone had surgery at U of M hospital?
What about other hospitals in MI?
Can you tell me the name of your surgeon and hospital, and your experiences both good and bad?

:rosette2:I had my 2 surgrey there with dr bernie at u of m. He was really good. What gi dr do u see at u of m. I am living in the u.p i drive 8 hours to my parents in mt. morris just to see the gi's there. They r good. U should really have it done at the U of M. It is the best hospital in mi.

I see Dr. Zimmerman. I am almost positive I will have the surgery at U of M, but I wanted to check out my other options. I saw her two days ago.
She did say that all the surgeons were great, but her first suggestion
was working with Dr. Arden Morris. I live in Farmington Hills.
