Swallowed Capsules coming out in bag?

I notice that capsules I swallow come out whole. It seems it only happens to some of the vegetarian caps. Pharmacist I asks explains that they are supposed to open only in neutral environment, and that usually happens at end of the ileum.

Anyone else notice this?

Personally, only sometimes and I have 90 percent of my colon! Which capsules are they? I have found with vitamins, I have to get gel capsules otherwise it's wasted.

I haven't noticed this, but I have heard that with a few other peoples. They also said they have to use vitamins and paracetemol in gel capsules.

I had to go from timed release meds for my depression to ones that I had to take every few hours so that they would dissolve. My extended release stuff plopped right into the bag about an hour after taking them. I was warned by my ostomy nurse it could happen.
