Hi there, I just want to start off saying that I am fortunate enough not to have Crohn's, but I can see that there are experienced members of perianal abscesses, and I had a question.
I had an incision and drainage 2 months before and recently, I went to the hospital and got checked because I felt swollen. The doctor did a CT scan of my pelvis and examined me; he said I do not have a fistula, or an abscess.
I found it hard to believe; it felt like an abscess because it resembled what I had before. The difference is that the bump in that area is soft and somewhat squishy. Also, I only feel pain if I spread or I am walking. I feel perfectly fine when I am sitting. When I had the abscess, it was completely hard and I felt constant pain.
I've been taking antibiotics for about two days now, and I haven't noticed any results. I've also been taking stool softeners. It might just be in my mind, but I feel like it's getting worse. There's no drastic change, but shouldn't I feel somewhat better Or will it take a few days to kick in?
EDIT: Also, there is no blood or drainage & BMs are painless
