I'm on 20mgs of Prednisone at the moment and my body is depressing me. I'm swollen EVERYWHERE! Legs, face (expecially), neck, arms, stomach... It's awful. I heard that no sodium and drinking tons of water help, along with excersise, but does anything else help get rid of the swollenness?! I'm going down in doseage every week and should be off by the end of April. But I can't wait that long to have my face back. So, anything else work?! Or, when I do get off the steroids, what is the quickest way to go back to normal? Any secret tricks? :confused2:

Hey, I have only recently stopped steroids. i HATED them.
Like you have said I was told no sodium and lots of water. which i did do, and found that it has made a difference in comparison to previous pred times.
i also found that my puffyness was way worse on my face in the morning and as i sat up it would almost start to 'drain away', i found that doing massage over my puffy face helped that speed up.
keep up the no sodium and lots of water even when you are off them.
i have found the puffyness has come down real quick that way! :)
chin up, i know its awful.
xx

i have also started reflexology.
mainly for relaxation but some people also believe it helps with bloating etc...
may be worth a shot?

Thank you SO much for the tips. :D The massaging worked really well and my face looks a bit better (yay!). I'm going to look into the reflexology...

Ah i am so glad it was some help!! :) i know how much it sucks, so even things that make a small difference!
reflexology is really great, she worked on bloating and IBS type symptoms as well as sinus stuff. :)
hope it all goes okay! always here for any questions or advice :) xxxxx
