My son has been on Remicade since February of this year. He just showed me a little swollen lymph node. I am a little worried.

He just had a remicade appt. two weeks ago. If something was wrong, it would show up on blood tests, right?

Anyone else have the same or similar experience? I am calling the doctor first thing in the morning.

Hi Michelle,

I'm sorry, I don't have any experience with remicade so can't help you with your question. :(

Please also post your question and/or look under the Remicade subforum, under Treatments - you may find more information.

Thinking of you :ghug:

IIRC I'm pretty sure Crohn's Mom's daughter had an issue with a swollen lymph node too??? She isn't on Remicade but is on a biologic. If it wasn't T I know it was someone here!

Blood tests should show something amiss if there was to be a problem Michele but you are right to be calling the doctor regardless.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Michelleinnewjersey, my son started Remicade this year too. He had a swollen lympnode that was more tender to the touch than truly swollen. I contacted his GI, they did bloodwork just to make sure there wasn't an infection(really probably just to ease this Mom's panic!!) but really they didn't seem overly concerned. Labs came back normal and a few days later his lymph node was fine. I would definitely give the GI a call and let them know. Oh, and when C was really young he had allergies and when they were at the worst his lymph node would sometimes swell, not sure if this was the case since that hasn't happened in several years.

Hi Michelle -

O has been on Remi since Feb also. She has had a few swollen lymph nodes. I called on the first and GI said have ped look at it. It was viral. Second one went straight to ped they said it was a rash on her scalp draining through the node.

I would call and see what GI wants you to do but if they take a while go ahead and make appt with ped. If he didn't have Crohns and wasn't on Remi that is probably what you would have done anyway.

Good Luck..I hope it is nothing!

Ds had swollen lymph nodes- no remicade here but methotrexate.
GI sent us to the ped to look at it.
Labs were normal and no sign of infections so they were not concerned.
