Swollen stomach?

I was diagnosed in 2009. Was on Humira for six years and remained in remission till this past May 2015. GI doc just started me on Enytvio in October and I've been on prednisone and antibiotics throughout my flare up since May. Have an appt with doc on Thursday because I'm still not seeing relief from pain. Finally off prednisone and I don't want to go back on it because I dislike how it makes me feel and I get a round face. My question is does anyone else's stomach get swollen during a bad flare up? I know where the severe abdominal pain, low grade fevers, joint pain is coming from but I wasn't sure if anyone else has experienced a swollen stomach too. Thank!

I get a swollen abdomen during a flare. I think its like a combo of gas and food combined with a stricture. Everything backs up and my intestines swell because of it, causing my abdomen to look large.

Yes- anytime I feel a little under the weather I get larger and more uncomfortable- as my nurse partner pointed out to me it's not the stomach ( as we mostly ascribe) but the intestines that has inflamed in my case. My sympathies for you. It's a grotty look and feels awful.
