Hi All,

Has anyone had the following experience:

I have been eating corn cakes on my highly restricted/reduced diet. I have been having undigested food for a while, but now anything significant in size seems to be hurting.

For the last couple days I started having a horrible time passing pieces of this food. I had diarrhea, pain and burning on passing stool, a red-tinged colour to my water stool (but not that sure what it was since its water - a rusty brown going into red).

Eventually I just couldn't pass stool as it felt like razor blades and when I went to wipe the remains it was red! It definitely was from the interior because I thought maybe it was hemmhoroids and dabbed again and nothing.

I have also been having these black flecks in every pass of stool even though I didn't eat anything black. It's hard to tell if I am truly passing blood because the stool is so watery and so full of undigested food. Can anyone shed light on this from their experience?

The black specks may or may not be blood . I would contact your doctor and tell him what is going on.

Razorblades? Fissures. I was given this "rectogesic" ointment which does the trick. Burns when you stick it up there but dissipates after it's healed up. Brace yourself for a proctoscopy.

If you eat these, the black flakes could be dried parsley, basil, ect. They tend to turn dark for me.
the pain you feel at the anus could be a fissure as Joey suggests.
As Ron suggests, I would contact the dr if your symptoms persists.
