I just came tonight from a neighbor's house where the girl (14 years old) was taking edible marijuana from a friend who got it from an adult and took too much. She was taking it for panic attacks and depression and the friend said that it would help her.

Thankfully, the girl will be alright even though our local paramedics and police officer were called in by a call to 911 and her mom (who didn't even know she was taking it) was having to take her into the hospital to get checked out.

Those of you on here, I want you to be very careful if you are using this stuff. I don't want you to go through this same scare. Take care.

If you use cannabis and aren't aware of the side effects, yes this could happen. But, the good thing? You can't overdose on cannabis.
It's important as a first time user, to take your time and don't over do it. Just use a little at a time until you help the pain. You don't have to be completely out of it for the cannabis to help pain.

I was raised in a very cannabis-prominent area (Vancouver Island for those of you know it) and used to indulge often, and heavily. I basically rid myself of habits when I went back to post secondary school, and now, any time I use any sort of sativa or anything not specically ultra-low thc/ high CBD I'll have a panic episode. Too much, too quickly is not a lot of fun.

Hope all is well.

I am really pleased with the legalization in my state, because everything is clearly labeled with the percentages of active ingredients. Just how microbreweries indicate alcohol percentage, products here show THC/CBD percentage. For ingestibles, this is super important so you know how much you are dosing. (Sucks to have to go home and ride the snake.) I would have administered a CBD oil because CBD can dampen the THC effects. It's such a relief that overdosing on cannabis is next to impossible.

Hello - sounds like you might respond better to indica-dominant strains. I used to think I was a sativa person, but as someone who is sensitive to anxiety, I now prefer indica. And yes, I personally prefer frequent small amounts after work daily rather than binging on the weekend! :)
