Hi All,
I have found this site very helpful and as this is my first post here, I would appreciate any help.
I just wanted to find out if anybody who's had resection surgery feels occasional tenderness in their abdominal region. I feel slight pain when I push on my abdomen (mainly on the lower but also feel it all over), and I also get the pain when I move my body into certain positions. I do not have any pains in any stationary positions.
From the start I will say the pain is very mild and nowhere near the pain I had during my first and only flare up. I have also noticed that I have been passing a lot of wind recently, well beyond my usual quota! I have no other usual symptoms. I had some bloods done recently and all my indicators showed nothing untoward and my next appointment is in February.
I just wanted to get an idea if this is something that is common with Crohn's and/or anyone who has had a resection.
Thanks and I look forward to your replies.

I am a 32 year old male who was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2009. Was initially misdiagnosed as an appendix mass for 6 months, so when I was correctly diagnosed I was told that it was too late for medication and surgery was required. I had a small bowel resection shortly after in late 2009. I felt absolutely fantastic after the recovery period but was admitted in April 2010 with a small bowel obstruction due to adhesions (not active Crohns). I have been on Azathoprine (Imuran) since Jan 2011 with no further symptoms.
