Had a really good visit with my GI's office this morning, went over my history (I've been seeing the same PA for office visits for a few years now so she remembers most things).....had blood work results already from my blood draw taken yesterday before my Remicade infusion.....discussed those - as my WBC is high again, as well as an inflammation marker,.....I did just get over a chest/head cold, and may have a sinus infection brewing (wicked headache since yesterday before my infusion).....

She is ordering vitamin D and B12 panels as they are not done with my routine bloods, and I also scheduled by annual scope for the middle of March. Last year, my biopsy results showed some mild inflammation, and if that shows up again, I'll go get my Remicade and antibody levels tested to see if I need to have my dosage tweaked....I really can't complain - 12 years on 5mg/kg at 8 weeks apart.....

Now, I'm just hoping this sinus crap doesn't get any worse...it was bad enough having the head/chest cold......picked up some Mucinex at the store this morning and it along with migrane pills seem to be keeping things at bay for the most part.....

My daughters Dr. said scopes should only be done every 5 years

amw....it depends on different factors, such as severity of disease and the length of time a person has had it...I went from every 5 years, to every 2, and now have been on an annual schedule for the last few years at least.....BUT - I have also had Crohn's/Colitis for almost 40 years.....I also have a history of polyps, which so far have all been benign.....
