I've been in contact with a guy on another forum who gave me some information, take from it what you will he seems very knowledgeable, he's not trying to sell anything. He says he was diagnosed with crohns and had emergency surgery, he's been treating it with diet and supplementation based on research he's done from pubmed and other sources.
Everything he says made perfect sense to me and falls in line with everything I've read and experienced personally with diet experimentation. I have been symptom free since November 2012 with no drugs as a result of my diet, except for abscesses, and I believe I've found the answer to those as well with this guy's help.
And hopefully I might even be able to reverse my food restrictions and eat a normal diet one day if this works out.
Without further ado here's the basics from his words:
I've been asking him some questions, I don't want to bother him too much but if anyone comes up with anything really important I'll pass it along. Maybe I could get him to post here even idk if I want to return his help by becoming a pain in the butt though.
I had chronic abscesses as my sole remaining symptom, I had developed one in each arm pit a couple months back, one I got drained but the other was less of an abscess and more inflamed tissue and was not drainable. I ran two courses of strong anti biotics with only some reversal of damage. It wasn't until I started supplementing the vitamin C that I've seen a strong reduction in inflammation, the fluid beneath the skin is mostly gone, as is the pain and I've regained much of my range of motion that it had taken.
If nothing else I've taken from this that Vitamin C is awesome.

diagnosed with crohns at 15, had an emergency surgery at 21 & almost died, was good for about a year but it came back. Went into cocoon mode and read research studies nonstop on pubmed. I'm 24 now. Took me about 6 months to get rid of it. Can consider myself cured.
Avoid all grains (except brown rice), sugar, yeast, alcohol & dairy for the duration. Fruits are fine:
Take undecenoic acid 5 pills 3x a day for about 3 months (http://www.amazon.com/Thorne-Researc...dp/B000FGXMWC/)
Mega dose vitamin C and echinacea (4 grams of vitamin c) everyday for 6 months
Go and sweat somehow everyday to clean out your system. Has to be stationary sweating like a sauna for 10-15 min. candida really fuks **** up in more ways than just bowel inflammation, and clogs all your detoxification pathways. Make this a priority after the gym or something.
After you're done with the undecenoic acid, go on a large dosing probiotic for as long as possible, at least 3 months.
Your bacteria is what protects you from this fungus. Most of it died due to antibiotic usage. The undecenoic acid will convert the infection back to a harmless form. The echinacea/vitamin c combo will stimulate Neutrophils, which are the only white blood cells capable of killing the fungus. The other immune responses fail miserably and are what cause the chronic inflammation you experience. The heat from a sauna will help stimulate your immune system. Sugar / grains must be avoided throughout, as candida feasts on it. Limit marijuana as it decreases neutrophil counts.
PM me if you want more info / sources / good websites.
