Okay...I've got a cold...Just down to 5mg of prednisone, pentasa and rowasas....Anyhow, my throat hurts, I think Ive got canker sores in my throat--or are they the crohsn? Anybody? SUe

Hey Sue! Need to get it checked out by a doc just to make sure it isn't strep (strep if left untreated can be serious), but I'm going to give you these two threads to read ok?

I had a sore throat (everyday) and it turned out to be Esophagitis. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to have it checked.

Yes me too, mine was intially from Prednisone. I had a head and chest cold not long ago and caused my throat to be hurting...mystery to me.

Crohns for me started in my mouth and throat. Felt EXACTLY like there were little sores in my esophagus, that was how I described it. I had difficulty swallowing, food would hurt so bad going down. It was terrible. If you can describe the pain as if it were sores or cuts in your throat, then you should probably get it checked out. Get well soon!! I think I am catching a cold right now lol
