Thrush from Predizone?

I have a lot of cancer sores in my mouth I assume from the Predizone. I got the thrush medicine but not helping much.

My throat is really sore. I don't know if thrush can go into your throat but it feels like it. We've all been sick with colds since Christmas. I'm tired of feeling bad.

The Predizone isn't helping the diarrhea but the bleeding seems better. I guess the aggravating thing is the meds cause as many problems as the disease.

The "I'm so glad I'm finally diagnosed!" has worn off. Now I'm frustrated.

I just suffered a major flare and my roof of my mouth became ulcerated but it is clearing now. It was painful and I could not eat without feeling like a hundred bees were stinging me. I happen to love Gerber rice cereal and it is soothing.

My Dentist told me 1 part peroxide and two parts water is the best cheapest solution as well as gargling with salt water.

In my case supposedly the prednisone is helping me. Every day the redness fades a little.

When I landed in the ICU in Nov I never had an ulcer in my mouth before. After the Prednisone IV drip I had one on my neck (gone now) forehead (gone now) and face (gone now) I really don't know if the Pred caused them or cured them.

I did find out from this board that the red marks remaining can be soothed by high strength Vitamin E oil which I use now.

You are indeed correct - the meds can create many side effects and our Doctors know so call them as soon as you notice something is wrong.
