I have been experiencing pain on my left side for a few weeks now which is unusual for me. I wouldn't say it's severe, but when the pain hits its quite an intense wave of pain for a few seconds (it happens mostly when I breathe out deeply). I'm also experiencing sharp, burning pains around my hip (this also only happens occasionally). I have Crohn's Disease in my terminal ileum, so my pain is usually only located in the right side of my abdomen.
I visited my GP today and she examined my stomach. As soon as she pressed in my left side I experienced a sharp uncomfortable pain and she said my large bowel feels very tight. However she said it's not necessarily linked to my crohn's and it could just be a spasm? I'm a bit worried there's a little more to it though because it's been sore for a while now. I'm hoping to speak to my IBD nurse tomorrow but just wondered if anyone else has experienced a 'tight bowel'?
I'm currently taking Methotrexate (since October 2015) so I was hoping by now I would be feeling much better but I seem to be experiencing the same amount of pain and in other areas now
