Tightness in throat

I was wondering. Can Crohn's or GERD cause a tightness way up in the throat? I have had a lot of Post nasal drip and I do think that I have problems with pollen. should I focus on the crohns or possibly allergies? Because this tightness in the throat sure is annoying. Doesn't anyone have similar ills?

Crohns can rarely cause inflammation in the throat but it's almost always lower in the digestive tract. GERD/LPR can indeed scar your throat.

Thanks for the replies. I have a feeling its Allergies to pollen. Since I've been gargling with salt water it seems to be going away. I've had post nasal drip for a long time. I've just started using the netti pot and that seems to be helping. However I'll agree with Noguts that its also the GERD doing it. I seem to be doing better with it now. Getting old really sux.
