Too Many Polyps in Colon to biopsy all of them

New to this site. CD 20+ years. My GI doc says that on colonoscopy there are too many polyps to biopy or remove all of them so he does ramdom samples. My question is why not remove all of them, even if the procedure needs to be scheduled for more time or with general anesthesia. Any input is appreciated.

I've had two removed, but they never said if there were more they didnt take.

I wonder what is too many? They took 15 biopsies from me.
