I was diagnosed with MC last april, and it was really bad. I first had surgery for an abcess by draining and then decided that I would get an temporary colostomy so that it would heal my rectum. I was also put on Remicade to get me in remission. But I fear that Remicade now has contributed to a stricture in my rectum which I am not happy about. I have handeled my stomy pretty well and my doctor told me that he has used me as an example to other pasients because I have not been suffering a mental set back because of the stomy because I knew that it would be reversed. But now that I have a stricture in my rectum, I am afraid that it can complicate things which I hope it will not, since I am only 18 years old, and already been trough two surgeries. What can be done, either surgical or medical?
