Okay, so iv'e recently been working out to try to gain muscle and improve my overall health. I'm fairly skinny for my height "5,8 115 pounds". Well what I'm wondering is will it be more difficult to gain muscle than people who don't have Crohn's/colitis? What is your opinion/take on this? Also, are there any tips for people that have Crohn's and who are trying to build muscle? Thanks for the feedback.:ghug:

Have you tried boost /ensure /peptamen ?
These can help increase your weight ...
Which I believe is first before you can get muscle .
My kid was able to gain 36 lbs using peptamen jr in addition to food but your crohn's has to be under control as well .

Your current BMI is only 17.5. I suggest you concentrate on building weight for now and the muscle will come once you have put on a few more pounds. To be at the lowest "normal" BMI you should weigh about 122.

And I second mlp's suggestion of supplementing your diet with liquid nutrition. Preferably using complete nutrition sources like Ensure.

Good luck.
