Hi everyone,
In fall 2016, I was diagnosed with C Diff. Since then, my stomach never bounced back and my overall health just seems very poor. My WBC is always high, all my inflammatory markers are high (last I checked, CRP was 18), and my folate and B12 are always really low. I also tested high for Saccharomyces cerevisiae IgG, which I've heard is a marker for Crohn's.
I had to keep putting off the pill cam test that my GI doctor wants to do because I needed surgery on my sinuses and have been treated with prednisone multiple times since then to keep my sinuses open. However, I've now reached the time where I can try to schedule the test in a few weeks.
My GI suggested that I try to schedule the pill cam for when I have mouth ulcers, but obviously, that's quite difficult to do when you have to schedule in advance. This week, I've had ulcers, hot flashes, and today I've had to use the restroom five times, but it's not diarrhea, it's just really sticky stools.
I'm wondering if mouth ulcers always indicate a flare? I'll go through periods when I don't have any, and I've also had up to 20 at once before. They seem to come and go and I'm nervous that if I don't have any when I have the pill cam done, then nothing will show up.
I'm also wondering if sticky stool is common with crohns? I don't have diarrhea terribly often, but my stool is always either really sticky, or really fluffy (like a 6 on the bristol chart).
In my heart, I'm almost positive I have crohn's, but my colonoscopy and endoscopy have only shown inflammation and I'm afraid to have this final test done and have it come up blank.
