Hi all. I don't know what I have yet but lurked awhile and figured I finally ought to say hello. In November I had what I thought were really bad menstrual cramps while at work one weekend, by that Monday I couldn't walk and had to call my mother to take me to the ER. Since then I've made two other visits to the ER, two to my PCP, had a MRI, a colonscopy and endoscope which resulted in two biopsies and a polyp removed and tested. I have not had a painless day since it all started. The doctors currently have me on bentyl 3x a day and nexium, a fiber pill and vicodin for pain.

I've always had pooping issues but they have amped up and now if it isn't plain loose, watery poo it looks like someone laid a rolling pin on top of it like little kids when they play with play-doh. There are days when I can't sleep from pain and the other night at work I was up all night during my sleep time throwing up which made me fairly useless and short tempered on Sunday which is my long shift. Wednesday I go back to my PCP and hopefully might have some sort of answer.

Sorry if I'm rambling.

Hi there and welcome. I know all about the period pains, been through all my adult life with terrible pains. I assume you have not been diagnosed with Crohns officially? It sure sounds like it, having an answer to why you feel the way you do for long periods of time is a relief, whether you have Crohn's or not. Crohn's is very hard to diagnose... some people here been alot time and still dont know for sure. You are welcome here no matter what the results are, you are suffering from some form of IBD. Hope you get relief and answers soon! Please let us know what your PCP says ok?

Thanks Jettalady.

At first I did think it was all period related as I had severe pain when I started in October too and had a endometrial ablation in March due to excessive bleeding. I went to the ER after calling my gyn assuming it was her realm. No diagnosis yet but the GI dr did say based on blood work I have two markers for Crohn's the reactive protein and something else but I was just waking up from the scopes and don't remember and my driver doesn't understand any of that so doesn't pay attention.

Welcome tiff :)

I hope you get some answers soon. Meanwhile you are very welcome to join all of us with tummy pains and dodgy bowels!

Hi TNZ's Mom!
Glad you decided to post instead of just reading. You've found a great place for support. NEVER feel sorry about rambling. That's what we're here for, to listen. Rambling is therapy sometimes, feel free!
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum.. Im sure it will provide as much support and wisdom for you as it has for me. Don't be afraid to ask any questions either big or small.

Went to the doctor's yesterday and he had the c-reactive and other thing re-run to see if there has been any changes. He doesn't think it's Crohn's but does think I have some form of IBD. My next step is a bone scan on Monday and Thursday I see my gyn.

Crohn's dx is very hard and can be missed, but IBS can be just as debilitating... I have a few friends who have IBS and they find it hard to control too.

A bone scan is a good idea, baseline at least. Let us know how it turns out and your GYN appt. I hope it isnt anything serious!

Welcome TNZ's mom. :)
I hope that the tests show something for you, i personally know just how hard it is to have no reason for the symptoms.
