Unusual pain

Good Evening All,
My daughter Caitlyn started having an odd pain. She says it feels like a burning sensation in her stomach. Also her pain has migrated and is now on the left side instead of the right. Has anyone else's kids complained of a burning type of pain or their pain changed sides? I called the doctor and he just blew me off saying her colonoscopy and biopsies looked good so he thinks the steroids have done their job and just to continue with the plan of weaning the steroids and starting the Enteral Nutrition as soon as we get the formula approved by the insurance.

Both of my kids have had those things but separately.

Sarah mainly had upper abdominal pain, stomach, but it did migrate over and become worst on the left. If I remember correctly she usually described it as an aching or stabbing pain.

Matt's pain always stayed around his navel, extending down into the RLQ and hip. He mostly described the pain as burning and/or pulling.

I hope things settle for Caitlyn. Keep us posted!

I haven't had it in a while but I used to have a burning pain quite a bit, I used to say it was like someone stabbing me with a hot poker!

A hot water bottle might help relieve some of the burning sensation in her stomach. I've had that in the past and it's helped me. Hope the pain subsides asap.

Another poster siad her pain also felt like burning. I do hope this just goes away ... but do not like the fact that it started while weening off the steroids. Good luck.

The Hot Poker is exactly how she described it. Danny'smom I also don't like that it is starting while weaning off the steroids I am hoping it is a coincidence. and Jonnyb we actually got something better then a hot water bottle it is called a bean. It is this little bean shaped bag type of thing that is filled with Jel. You plug it in to warm it then unplug it and it stays warm for up to four hours. We bought it at the sharper image store in the mall for $30. Best money I ever spent. Caitlyn uses it constantly.
