update from colonoscopy

Well the nurse called me from the gi clinic today and the only thing she says to me is that you have a colitis. Now I have to wait two more weeks to get in to the clinic so that the doctor may explain it to me and hopefully do something that will help me. Until then im just waiting, oh how the waiting sucks.

Sorry to hear that! The next two weeks will probably feel horribly long, but after that you will get started on treatment, and hopefully your symptoms will start to get turned around. Hope all goes very well.

Sorry to hear the news. I had GI wait as well for my GI consult. Did they start you on meds? I went home from the colonoscopy with meds.

No medications just yet, but my regular doctor has given me probably about 10 different types of prescriptions along with some over the counters and nothing has seemed to help. I have taken bentyl, pepto, loperamide, some gas medicine, reglan, and some others I can't remember

well I definitely have collagenous colitis got my celiac test panel back which I do not have thank god cause me without bread I would go insane. My doctor really wants me to take entocort but since i don't have insurance and he couldn't fid a compay to help with the cost I got a script for lialda. I hope that this works for me and that I don't have too bad of side effects. I go back in three months to get my kidneys checked not really sure why and how that works but I am hopefull for the best

I'm glad you have an answer and that you have a prescription. I hope it works for you. To check your kidneys they usually do a blood test to see how they are functioning and such.
