So i've been peeing blood and the doc called us and said that it is an infection. Infection of what, who knows. All I managed to tell her was that i'm urinating blood, and she just said okay pick up ___ medication and take that and come see me on Thursday with a urine sample.

So I shall find out what is going on on Thursday. :shifty:

Unfortunately she was running two hours late, so was wanting to head home, so she probably wasn't that interested or thinking much.

Anyway i'll update you on Thursday.

On a funny note, mum went to the dentist because her filling feel up, and her mouth has been numb all afternoon and she sounds funny :rof:

Probably a severe urinary tract infection is what she's thinking. Well, I hope you get some relief with the meds. I would take the urine sample in before I started any antibiotics-you won't get an accurate reading if you are on antibiotics.

Thank you! I've done the sample and it's off being tested now, and seeing the doctor tomorrow and Monday. Feeling sooo awful today and I can't move because my back is really hurting me. I shouldn't have a bm today so I don't need to worry about running!

Those antibiotics can be pretty strong so make sure you are taking probiotics or you will be running. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I'm currently on trimethoprim. I've had no BM only feeling very ill, that could be because of the infection or just my body hates me.

Thankyou!

Keep up on the water too. The back pain could be several things... Don't worry about it too much, one day at a time Miss. :)

Hey, saw the doc this morning. I've got kidney issues so having urgent tests. One doc a few months ago said the pain by my kidneys was just muscle pain, but after peeing blood and being ill, another doctor said i've got kidney problems. Off to hospital for me!

Yeah haha. I worry no matter what anyway.

Infact i'd been having pains around my kidneys for months and saw a doctor after a week of it getting too much. The doctor said it was just muscluar pain and my kidneys are fine.

The doctor today was concerned that I was having these symptoms and no one in the last few years has bothered checking my kidneys especially when i'm at a higher risk of problems with them due to another disease! Hahaha!

I hope everything will be fine for you Tash.
It's good that you are having doctor appointments. I was concerned when you mentioned you had back pain because of the risk that the UTI propagates to your kidney. Never ignore these when you are having urinary issues. Most likely the doctor will have let you know that if you have chills and fever, you don't hesitate and go to ER? The antibiotics should take care of it and bring you relief soon!

Update - I had my scan today. All my organs are perfectly healthy. That is good news that i'm healthy, bad news that i'm in pain and they don't know why. The lovely doctor said that the scan doesn't look at my bowels or anything linked to that. She can only see my kidneys, pancreas, liver, lungs, urinary track etc. So atleast my kidneys are good! I am seeing a specialist next week for my stomach/intestines/bowel problems. So, we shall see from there. :)

^^ Agreed!

One step in the right direction. Many more steps to go. We walk a long, often unrewarding journey.

Remember, it's not where we are going, it's how we get there that matters.
