this video went over my head, but might help some here. he gets into the weeds on the various medical treatments and when to use them. it popped up on my radar because it includes gut liner healing.

this guy mentions undetectable viruses or bacteria as cause. he said nuke it with chemo and it goes away. jump to 16 minute mark

not sure about the chemo stuff, but this guy gets it. just have to sift through a lot of fluff talk to pull out the wisdom. i listened at 2x speed to find the nuggets of wisdom. he goes over sibo, leaky gut, candida, etc. he's done his homework

too, he mentions a couple of items that i've yet to roll out to the forum -- stomach acid and bile problems - and their roles in ibd. there are easy strategies to address those without drugs. soon i'll start a thread to discuss these issues

this guy's protocols closely match mine. no breadstuffs. yes to daily bone broth, blueberries, probiotics, etc. he even knows about bacillus coagulans and suggests it and some of it's cousins

another good one from an md, esp on diet. eat like a diabetic is good advice. sounds like he has a series of videos for us to listen to.

relistened to the video above, post 5. he does a good job explaining how/why our guts get messed up. also cites l. reuteri as populating the whole digestive system and killing bad guys, ie, good for sibo. he also lists numerous benefits of same bug.

he explains the critical nature of b. infantis for babies. this sets them up for good/bad health for life. he recommends supplementing the pregnant mother during gestation and the baby after birth. my comment -- b. longum is a first cousin to b. infantis and might be a good substitute. none of my locally available probiotic foods contain b. infantis

lifeway kefir has both l. reuteri and b. longum - and 10 other species, including a total of three bifid species.

recommend the video, it's an interesting and enlightening presentation

this microbiologist is on it. enjoyed this video, highly recommend

edit for topics covered/touched on:

his group is REALLY high on spore probiotics (like bacillus coagulans) - calls them universal colonizers, fit for all guts
bifid breve, bifid subtilis, bifid longum = good
butyrate multiple times = critical
antibiotics and harm they do
cancer immunotherapy treatment depends on gut bugs
leaky gut and lps causing disease. lps = lipopolysacharides. leaky gut lets lps into the bloodstream, then off to the disease races

this cardiologist is great. he went searching for the root cause of heart disease and it led him to becoming a microbiome expert
