I recently got off of prednisone but now I constantly have this urge to vomit. Everytiime I have a bowel movement which is frequent I almost vomit and if I ate I definitely will. In the last week I haven't ate much and I wonder if a empty stomach could do that. I'm not sure but it is horrible that even my own saliva will make me nautious. Needless to say I'm getting next to no food in my belly and I feel like a train wreck. Hopefully somebody might have some advice.

I am having this same problem, in fact I went to the bathroom 6 times today and every time I had to bring something to hold in front of me in case something actually came up. I have lost like 8 lbs now simply from not eating very well, though mine is not from coming off prednisone. I am getting an upper endoscopy tomorrow to check out this whole nausea thing. What you are going through is not normal and should probably be checked out.

Trust me I know what you are going through. It is awful. If by chance I get hungry and crave something I do everything I can to make sure I eat whatever I am craving, or else it ain't happening.

I'm not sure it is from coming off prednisone but it's wasn't like this until I did. And I do the same thing when I go to the bathroom because I do both very requently. It's hard for me to eat anything really because I'm also flaring pretty bad and my body isn't accepting much. It's pretty much a loose-loose situation I think. Good news is that I'm seeing a new GI tomorrow so maybe he will have some answers.

Yeah, good luck SB - and Isla too. Hope you both get answers that help you out a LOT. Vomiting sux.

I get a lot of upper nausea with wind and often end up dry-retching. I eat a fairly bland diet and it usually is a couple hours after I've eaten, so not much comes up. But though I fear the big D episode (especially out), I really find I feel worse with the nausea and dry retch.

Anyone else get a lot of dry retching nausea?

For me vomitting happened in 2 cases. When I had an obstruction, and when I was having liver toxicity symptoms from the Imuran.

I advise you to see your doctor asap..... Good Luck

i dont vomit.. but i always feel like i want too. Im currently still on prednisone, hope i dont get it too.

I only get vomiting when my inflammation is really bad. I feel like I will puke if I eat anything more than a few bites. Definitely get it checked out. Hope you both find out what is going on and soon!

Same here. I haven't vomited (knock wood) in 17 years...but nausea is still one of my main complaints.

Let us know what your doctor says, vomiting can't mean nothing. Good luck.
