It's been over a month since a partial obstruction sent me to the ER. My GI wants me in the Phase II trial for Stelara which ends "end of March, beginning of April". Said I was a shoe-in, and we could get the tests done before the window closed on the study.
Now it's a mad dash to the finish line. The lab tests took an extra week because the hospital didn't send the samples out for five days. They weren't enough to qualify me anyway. His next idea: colonoscopy and CT and argue my case to the drug company with those findings. Claims to have done this before with success. Had the colonoscopy yesterday (Showed stricture and inflammation. No, really?), CT tomorrow.
I've been holding my breath all this time. If I get worse and need Prednisone, it would disqualify me for 3 weeks, time we don't have to waste.
Patience is not one of my virtues.
