Was told ok, now told to wait...

So I'm not sure if I am over thinking this or not. My last appointment, my Dr. made it sounds as though I was good to start trying for a baby, I just needed to have an MRE. Well, the MRE is done. I received a call to set up a follow up appointment. I asked the nurse if she could ask the Dr. if I was ok to continue with trying for a baby (I had my IUD taken out 2 weeks ago, but no period yet). She said she would ask and call me back, which she did. She said my Dr. wants me to hold off until after I see him again. My appointment is July 16th. I know it's not that far away, but now I am all paranoid that the reason he wants me to hold off is that I may need more testing or surgery. Am I over thinking this!?! I haven't had any abdominal pain, but the report said that there is still thickening at the terminal ileum, and question of a collapse of the sigmoid. I was just diagnosed in , so I'm still new to the game. Sorry this is such a rant. But being told not to worry by my husband and family, makes me worry more!

I know how frusterating it can be. The only thought that I have, is that they just want to check up on you to see how you're doing first. It's better to have you healthy to begin with before becoming pregnant and easier to treat you if need be. Doesn't mean that there are any problems. But if possible, a healthy mamma is better to start out with. Good luck with your upcoming appointment! Sending hugs your way.

Personal non doctor opinion but seems to me if there was a problem appointment would be sooner so I have to agree with cross-stich. Good luck at the appt.

Thank you guys very much!! It make me feel better. I just am all freaked out over something that is nothing. I'm just new to all of this, so I'm never sure of when I should panic and when I shouldn't!

I agree that surely if it was something serious he would have you in sooner. But there is nothing worse than waiting and boy oh boy doesn't the imagination let loose then!

Any chance of calling back and speaking with the nurse? Tell her how you are feeling and how worried you are and ask if you can have some idea about what the appointment will be about.

The nurse said he is booked until my appointment date. She said if someone cancels she will call me first. So I am at least on the list. The unfourtunant thing is he only has one office day a week and he is going on a two week vacation. I really like him for my doctor, but the one day a work sucks!

I agree with Dusty. It might help settle your fears a bit by talking with the nurse. My GI has told me a time or two also that if I have any questions, concerns or feel like I'm getting worse to call him as well. Please keep us updated on how things go. :hug:
