Weight loss and surgery

I am due to have surgery very soon. I'm having a resectioning due to a partial blockage and bad inflammation which isn't reacting to steroids. My resectioning is in the terminal illium (think that's how to spell it)
I am currently in a really health weight and have maintained a health weight for two years.
I just want to find out how much weight people lost after surgery. I just want to be prepared.

I pretty much had the same surgery as you and I didn't lose any weight from my surgery. You're in the hospital for about 4-7 days usually and will eventually eat normal food again so there shouldn't be any real significant weight loss (certainly no gain). Sorry for the late reply.
