Alot of weird stuff is going on. Maybe because my stress is to high. I don't know. Maybe they are all different separate things or all going to one thing. Here is the list. About a month ago i had some back pain and went to my primary doctors. Did exrays and nothing showed. They said to do some yoga and what take pain meds. So I have had back pain all my life. Nothing big and i knew to do yoga and what not.

So the next thing that happens i get red itchy bumps. They itch and then they stop for a couple hours and then itch. Funny part i havent exercised at all and thats the only time i get them. Went last year for an allergy test. Did a test only on certain things. The doc didnt really want to do much. The only that happen was i sat in a warm room and busted out in hives. Turns out i am allergic to my own sweat. lol.

So now here is the crappy part. The past month i have been have right side pains. They come and go. At first i thought they where gas pains. But now I think its more then that. I woke this morning and I was sore. Its the same spot i had some of my intestine removed and colon. I am a little freaking out because after surgery they said I had creepying fat. Never heard of that and i looked it up but havent found much. I am just nervous its happening again and that I might have to have surgery again. So i am trying to make an appt with my GI.

Hi,
It's good that you are not waiting with to see your GI. If you are in pain, and it reminds you the resection area - you need yo be seen by your doctor. The sooner the better.

Are you currently on any treatment ?

And another thing, had you had any diet changes or anything special to eat that you are not used to, or really high in fiber ?

Making an appointment with a GI is a good thing. It could be some form of inflammation/extra intestinal manifestation related to your IBD. When is the last time you had a flare/are you currently flaring right now?

Paying attention to your diet can be helpful as well if you get uncomfortable with certain foods but definitely have your GI check you out and see if there is anything they can find. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks all. No drastic changes in food. Supposedly my gi, a couple months ago said i am flaring but not bad. I haven't had much of an appetite lately but will eat some foods. Been bloating most of the time. Taking pentasa both in the morning and in the evening for my meds.

Hi Ash:
I was in a pretty bad car accident 11 years ago; resulted in herniated discs and a small tear in my spine; I also have had back pain since my crohns dx in 1985, but I had been in remission, and did not remotely connect my crohns with my "new" ailment... so after lots of pain meds, yoga, PT, chiropractic, TENS unit, acupuncture, injections, even an epidural!,, I ALSO started to have isolated pain in my surgery site (ileum resection), AND red itchy bumps ALL OVER... Saw a dermatologist for that, no dice.
Okay, so I still was not connecting any of this with my crohns...until I ended up hospitalized with an obstruction.
After much trial & error and a fantastic new Internist, he assured me that he has seen my skin rash before; its actually common in crohns, an ulceration of the skin based on our auto-immune tendencies. Because my SED rate looks okay, the consensus was a flare up rather than active crohns, based on scar tissue from my surgery, which dangerously has narrowed my existing small bowel. Lower back pain can be inflamation, intestine, and even muscular related (also very common in crohns) and your surgery site pain is nothing to mess with... listen to your body... even keep a log....
I have upper right pain also, but my labs last year labs indicated kidney disease. But keep in mind that your liver, stomach, pancreas... all around that region..
Crohns is a fickle fiend; we can have all sorts of trippy things going on in our bodies that dont seem to have anything to do with our dx, but I find that even if I treat all my issues in sections and parts, they are all from the same part,,, me! And I sometimes have to remember to treat my body as a whole.
my wish for you is that with the proper current dx, correct treatment,
and lots of support, your symptoms will become more manageable.
For my back pain, I still take pain medication and muscle relaxers, but I am very careful because of my hypertension, diabetes and kidney dis, as well as crohns. I use ice and heat, and even essential oils. Exercise is always wonderful, especially something fun, like biking, dancing...
Because of my absorption, I find that whole food supplements and liquid vitamins work best for me. Vit B injections are amazing....!
For my skin, I have found that pure aloe vera, right from the leaf, is amazing,,, and sunshine really helps! I use essential oils in the shower, I even spot treat my skin with topical steroid cream and use palmers cocoa butter like crazy.
I use allergy meds for the itching on occasion.
FYI: You are the only other person I have encountered with crohns disease and small itchy red skin bumps... I thought I was all alone!
Anyway, I really hope you are feeling better soon. And if you find anything that helps, pass it on! :rosette2:
