I went in for my colonoscopy. On October 7 2015. When I woke up from the procedure I was admitted to the hospital. I have an arrow large intestine blockage Almost completely closed. I was in the hospital for about a day and a half.Released with no diagnosis. Few days later Appointment with the GI doctor They all come walking in and tell me I have Crohns. They want to know why I did not put the Symptoms together! My niece and nephew has crohn's he was diagnosed at the age of six and she was at 8 Their cousins.
Oh I was just thinking Ok Crohn's I can t corn or skin off to Turkey. The Doctor says I don't think you understand how sick you are this is serious stuff Stop joking around! Dr Told me that I was going to have to have surgery. I have 3 fistaus. They show me the pictures of my Ct test and Some kind of scope procedure. They scheduled me for MRE. Told me to eat low residue diet.(WHAT? I'm SICK?!)
I have had many doctors appointment I spoke with the surgeon. She told me She would take Part of my large intestines out I may or may not need a bag.
My primary doctor put me on Vitamin D And B12In a multivitamin. Yesterday I had my first injection of Remicade. It went well I was a little woozy. I go back in 2 weeks. I do get diarrhea but, I thought it was from cheese or ice cream. I do throw up but not really I mostly constipated but, I don't get the pain everyone gets Stomach.I've been blessed I just get a little burning right in the middle. I thought all these things were For me. And I'm exhausted all the time! If I would have I had a serious problem I woulda got help.
My niece doesn't like to talk about her bag of her crohns so, I was looking for Questions and answers and this is how I found this forum. That it!
The doctors are surprised that I haveCD, because I'm fat And I told him that I didn't want to take anything that was kind of make me gain any weight I'm looking to lose weight.

Welcome to this forum. You came to the right place. I don't know what the doctor will prescribe (and you should listen to him) but prednisod made me puff up while I was on it. For the exhaustion, you should probay get your blood checked, if you haven't already. Keep us updated.

Hi and welcome.

Sorry you've joined the club.
Crohn's can be a sneaky disease. I've had fistula problems in the past.

Sending you my support.

Welcome to the community.

While you've been diagnosed at 51, based upon what you described, I suspect you've had active Crohn's for quite awhile.

I hope the Remicade and surgery put you in a fast remission!

I wish you all the best.

Thank you I do feel welcome here! I don't know why I Didn't put it all together. But I'm ready to do what I need to do to Feel normal as much as possible. I'm tired all the time even after a good night sleep I'm so tired. But the pharmacist said that Being on the Remy might Help.

I decided on Saturday that Starting tomorrow I'm going to only have smoothies Restaurant juice and yogurt And then I'm going to try to just go straight and Juicing I just before and it went well. I lost 13 pounds in 14 days. To be honest most of that was anxiety because my Sister was in a Diabetic coma during the time. It took a few weeks but she came out.

Boy I'm really naive about their Fistaus. They can really be difficult at times I didn't know that I need to find out What condition or Stage Mine are in.
