I guess if you're in dire straights it can get a bit too exciting, but you catch my drift. Since these forums would intuitively be perused by those currently seeking out information for treatments, and since such perusal would suggest these to be the patients farther from experiencing remission, I thought I'd go out on a limb here and start a related- and yet unrelated thread. When you've got the post-Humira/Remicade/6MP fatigue, post-op everything, flare-related houseboundedness, Prednisone-induced PMS-but-not-PMS, et cetera, what do you do to make yourself feel better? Laugh, even? Books, movies, websites, hanging out with your pet - what do you find to be the most helpful in terms of boosting your mood and helping you (at least psychologically) get on with your day? Did you used to watch House and get your hopes up every time "Crohn's" was thrown out by the blonde one (who always said everything was autoimmune) that we'd get some air time? Music, art-making? For parents or caregivers, is there anything that really helps your loved one? Sometimes these things are just as important as treatment and much more instantly-gratifying. You can never have too many ideas, right?
