Im 21 and I've had a fissure for 6 years and it has recently gotten worse and more painful, the spasms are worse than ever. I get mouth ulcers, usually up to 5 or more at a time. Also for the past two years iv been having spells where I will go several weeks with nothing but diarrhea, when that stops its immediate constipation. Iv been doing sitz baths and nitroglycerine for the fissure but nothing seems to help. Any thoughts on whats going on?

You could try slightly pushing your lower right abdomen, right next to your pelvis and check if that hurts there more than anywhere else.

That's the most common spot crohn's patients complain about when doctors test their abdomen. Mouth ulcers usually seem to coincide with inflammation in the colon, but mouth ulcers aren't always related to crohn's. So shrug.

I have mouth ulcers all the time but not that many at once. Crohns is from mouth to anus and I would have the doctor check it out. I get a sore right side of my tongue seems to be when I am on flagyl or just out of no where. A lot of people here get cankers, fever blisters (cold sores) and they hurt like hell. Hope you get some answers with it!

Mine are cankers, im just used to calling them ulcers. Mine usually last around 2 weeks and the pain keeps me from wanting to eat. I've never experienced cold sores though.
