An egg with green beans, or any other veggie you can handle.
Dark meat chicken sweet potato( I boil then let cool before I remove from water) or baked and peas or carrots. Baked Salmon with honey drizzled on top at 450 for 15 -20 min.
Peas boiled with some frozen onions then mashed though a strainer. French bread with olive oil on the side to dip a bit. Lots of chicken soup prepared and frozen made with garlic, carrots and dark meat. It is easier to chew and lighter on my tummy then white meat.

I had my first colon exam 3 weeks ago this Tuesday after my second break out of erythema nodosum.
I take konsyl everynight for better firmer stool and it has helpped along with Lialda and prednisone.

I am lactose intolerant.

Please advise if you have and additional food to eat and recipes.

Thanks!

Hard boiled eggs with avocado oil or olive oil. Toasted English muffin with almond butter. Tilapia broiled with lemon. A few ideas...

Hi funjunky and welcome :)

If you haven't found it already, our diet and fitness forum should have lots of insight into what you might want to try eating and what you may want to avoid.

Regarding the konsyl (psyllium) are you careful not to take any of your medications within four hours of taking it?

Again, welcome to the forum :)

i like to slow cook my meat in water, too. Things like game, pheasant, partridge etc. are low in fat and become tender when simmered for a few hours. I heard drinking the broth is good for you, too. It's full of amino acids and stuff.

Can i take my multivitamin when I take the meds. Because I take meds in morning and konsyl at night I'm good on that one, phew I did that perfect by pure luck thanks Dave.

Snowday is French bread bad, I need to see a dietician, but I will be reviewing the fitness and diet fourm, thanks!

Yes, that should be fine but as always, let your doctor know about anything you're taking and when, including vitamins.

You asked Snowday about the french bread, I hope you don't mind me commenting. The tough part is it's different for everyone. Some find that cutting out gluten or yeast makes a huge difference, and for them, breads would obviously be out. For others, bread is one of their safety foods. Keep a food diary of what you eat and how you feel through the day and try to correlate what foods are good for you and which are not. And as mentioned, there will be lots of hints in the diet forum as well.

funjunky, I don't know how you will react to certain foods because, as David said, we're all different. I am of the opinion however, based on research that i've done, that refined, white wheat flour, found in any standard bread, cake, pizza, bun, cookie etc. is bad for a persons health in general.

It doesn't really serve any purpose health-wise and i've heard that as much as 85% of people have an underlying intolerance to it (ie. it causes harm to the body but with no obvious or immediate symptoms) There are much more healthy alternatives. The problem of course is that it's so damn delicious :)
