What is average time to be on Uceris

When dr told me I have crohn's he put me on the medication Uceris for a short time,so he said. He said I would be on it for no more than 3 months . 23 months later I am still on Uceris and confused because I can't get a straight answer. Am I asking too much to have some kind of clarification?

That is a really long time. Any chance you can get a second Dr. Appt?

Dr keeps telling me that it's "safe". But has told me I could slowly start weaning off it if I want to try being off it. I am down to taking it once a week (it's taken a little over 6 months). But I feel awful. Not sure if it's the crohn's showing its ugliness or the Uceris.

It might be safe, but any kind of steroid is going to have side effects when you are on it that long. Are you on other maintenance meds?
