I just realized how happy I get when I hear a really good song, so I was just thinking what makes everyone else happy when they aren't feeling well or just down??? :)

listening to music is a definite mood booster for me, too! when i'm driving in my car and "Kashmir" comes on, all i can do is smile and rock out. a really long, tight hug is always helpful for me, as well...joking around with my friends and boyfriend. cuddling. playing with my cat. if you can afford it, go skydiving and/or bungee jumping!!! exhilarating. so yeah....haha.

okay, i'm pleased someone asked, cos i do have to get to you tube and put fave upbeat music on to swinig my mood. i just been lifting myself with Frank Mills music box dancer and The Bobby Fuller Four, with Let her dance.

its upbeat. i also love Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 Lizst. it starts as low and sombre as my mood, then changes and really picks me up.

Horse riding, but sometimes I am not well enough to do that but spending time with the horses grooming and watching others ride perks me up almost as much!

Got to admit, just now, stuffing my face with cake perks me up too!

my wife. cuddling with my dog, she likes to lick my face. a good show on tv or video game that gets my mind off things. sleeping.

everything EmAitch88 said resonates well with me. skydiving it great. music & incense, warm candlelit baths, warmth in general, my boyfriend & cats.

When I'm feeling crappy, I find that distraction is the key. That could include music, my pets, a good movie or TV show (comedy is prefereable so that I laugh instead of wallowing in self-pity), a good book or video game, or someone to talk to, or this forum! :) I'm really fortunate that I have a best friend who is a Crohnie - she understands completely when I say I'm not feeling well enough to do much of anything (and vice versa). My pets are amazing too. My dog always amuses me, and my cat follows me everywhere (yes, even into the bathroom).

I really like travel shows for this; it makes me happy just to see the beautiful scenery. Upbeat music and older TV shows work, too!

looking at pictures of my kids when they were little...I just love that and they always make me smile :)
And ya...music too!

My animals (crazy dog and wild mare), music, gaming and doing my art.
My dog cracked me up yesterday when he decided to go flying into a pond. The look on his face was "WHEEE" as he ran and jumped in. Of course he was filthy after so I took him to a beach to clean off a bit in the water. Watching him chase the waves made my day and kept me laughing even when he had to be bathed at then end of it all.
I'm not riding at the moment but love my horse nuzzles when I go see her at the stables. Horse slobber is so special. :)

my cats. I have three, and they're really quirky. None of them are the usual cats. And they love me terribly. Whenever I feel gloomy or sick, they're all over me. A good song helps too. Or some calculus <3

Tomorrow I'm so excited, I'm going to pick a new craft to do :) I'm glad that even though we all have rough times, that there are still things that put a smile on our faces and help us get through the toughest times.

When Peyton does her homework without stress on her brows,
When Alexus volunteers to clean the dishes,
When Aspyn eats her dinner without getting a stomachache,
When Zachary involves his little brother in play time,
When Braxton smiles so big that his dimples burst,
When Nutmeg gives me a foot bath with her doggie tongue,
When Sunny and Cloud chirp softly,
When James comes home from work in one piece...

I love your reasons for happiness!!!!

So unfortunately I'm so typical female and going to say one thing that always lifts my mood *besides my cool dudes of course*:

Shopping.
Preferably with someone else's money!! :D

Disclaimer: Groceries, The Home Depot and Sports Authority do NOT count. :boring:

Definitely my sweet sweet grandson. he just started crawling. awwwwwwww
He comes by with my daughter to visit me every weekend! Nothing puts a smile on my face faster!!

Ha,met my 6 months old grandson (step) and what a cutiepie...but he just left yesterday :(

So other than that only chocolate will do!

Ken, my days off, a large non-fat vanilla latte and the newspaper, walking on a sunny day, a long hot shower, going to a movie, music, reading a good book, a nap in the afternoon, home-made hamburger, mom's macaroni and cheese. Yummy!
