Hi, I'm 12 and I'm having a flare up. I'm SO hungry, but I don't want to eat the wrong thing and start throwing up. My stomach is hurting really bad and I don't want to add o. To the pain. Is there anything besides broth, herbalife, and jello.

Oh my god. I'm so sorry you have to go through this at such a young age. You should post your question as a new topic so people know what you are asking and help you. Adding to a post on something else doesn't get many views. As for your question, everyone is different, maybe you can try some other things and see what works. There are protein shake powders mixed with milk or soymilk, juices, ensure, coconut water, and other things. good luck!

Hi Audi, I've moved your post to a new thread as it'll likely get more attention & better answers like this. :)

Are you on any medications right now? Are you able to get to the doctor so that they can get this flare under control? We're all different with what we can eat in a flare, so all I can say is do a little trial and error to see what you can handle. Generally speaking, bland white foods are usually well-tolerated. Things like white rice, white bread, baked chicken or fish, pasta, bananas, applesauce, etc. Give a few of those a try if you are able to (obviously don't eat bread or pasta if you can't handle gluten, etc). I hope you feel better soon!

Start from the mild ones like juices fluids then if ok maybe u can try white rice cooked until real soft. Or maybe porridge add a lil soy sauce to add up the flavor.

Some vege broths maybe works too.

Sorry I'm Asian I don't usually eat pasta or breads but try not to eat something with gluten first if u had pain.

I'm currently flaring too. I only eat porridge and probiotics only. And drink some ORS coz having diarrhea too.

Hope we both get into remission soon :)

Make sure you get the right nutrients. you could try making smoothies by adding fruits, veggies, nuts/seeds, and a protein powder - however, I know how awful flareups are, so if you don't have the energy to make one, drink some Ensure/Boost or Naked Juice.

Talk to your doctor, and get better soon! we're here for ya! :)

I hope remission is right around the corner. But diet during a flare up, in my experience, is very limited. Obviously staying hydrated and nutrition intake is critical. I'm my case Cream of Wheat and limited amounts of starch, noodles and potatoes, seem to go down fairly well. But as this disease progress 's it is a trial and error program. Good friends.
