I am having a hard time figuring out when to go to the hospital. I dont have any insurance so it would just be the er. I am in a lot of pain, bleeding cramping the whole shibang except for a fever which I hardly get. my husband says that he will take me whenever I want to go the only problem that I am having is that its bad but I know its the worst pain I have ever been in. I have been crying since yesterday but its still not the worst pain ever. Do I wait until it gets so much worse that I am not even able to do anything but fall over in pain and pure exhaustion? Please somebody help me, please.

If you are in a lot of pain and you are bleeding then it's definitely time to go to the ER. Go to the ER as soon as you can and get this sorted out then follow up with a GI appointment when you can so you can figure our what exactly is going on.

Go to Providence over there in Beaverton they'll take good care of you I'm sure. They have to provide stabilizing treatment at minimum so you really should go.

I would say definitaly go now . Dont wait till it gets worse , as it sounds like your in an awful lot of pain already :( Atleast in ER they will be able to check you over , and give you pain relief .

It's odd , isnt it that if we didnt have crohns , and where in that much pain we wouldn't think twice about rushing to ER ?

Hope you get this sorted and start feeling better soon .

Lucy :)

The general rule with crohn's is... if you feel the need to ask the answer is yes.

Im a bit like you, just how long can or do you leave it. In your case you need to go, otherwise you will do more damage than is already there. xx Hope you get on ok, we are lucky over here in UK, my hospital is great, I just go, but mentally I feel I need to be unbearable as I worry Im wasting their time !

Thank you

I want to thank you for all those who posted. It is kind of hard, sometimes I feel like I should just be able to suck it up and deal with whatever comes my way, at least thats the way I have been my whole life about everything. And I have to wonder what is normal for me and my situation. I did end up going and they told me that they didn't find anything but at least I got a little pain relief for awhile. Without insurance its hard to just keep going in. But I am glad that I came across this site. I just hope that everyone on here and their families are doing well.
