I know we all would rather have neither, but if you could trade (lol) would you and why?

I'll start: I'd rather have UC because it only affects the colon and you can have an ostomy and be med-free, with no worry it'll come back. And it only affects the top layer.

ps: I hope nobody here gets offended at this question...just wanted to see what others' perspectives and ideas are :) :dusty:

I'll stick with my U.C.for now thanks.BUT I am incredibly lucky (so far) compared with many on the forum.Although it has change m life, it's manageable.

Crohn's disease, I find it easier to make sense of crohn's disease than I do about UC. There is far more literature about crohn's disease than there is about UC.

I think this is a bad thread topic.

You know, after thinking about it, I agree and take back my reply.. it's not a competition, we all are suffering. I'll take being kicked in the face. Multiple times.

And if you have UC insurance doesn't want to cover anything above 6MP because " oh you can just get your colon removed" not cool. Removing a major part if my body when I could maybe do something else because it's cheaper for insurance. That's what UC gets you.

Sorry. It just annoys me people think either is worse. There is varying degrees is severity for both and we support everyone regardless.

That was my first instinct...should have followed it. I sincerely didn't mean any harm, just thought it might be the opposite and come closer together, looking and stepping into each other's shoes.

I'm really sorry if any of you felt offended....my intention was the exact opposite. If anybody knows how to delete this thread, please do so.

My insurance covered Remicade. I'm sorry you are having issues with that.

You don't have to message her. FrozenGirl tagged her when she typed the name.

Not sure if this thread will be deleted or not. I think we all understand that this is not a competition, we all suffer. I'm going to lock this thread to stop the conversation before it gets out of hand.
