Well, I have been eating a lot of bananas, they didn't really help, but they didn't hurt either. Yesterday I noticed that a few on the bottom of the pile were at the make-bread-or-toss stage, and since I love banana bread but am sure I can't eat it, baking was out of the question. Still, I felt bad tossing them, so I improvised. I have noticed that a lot of you drink smoothies, and on another thread someone had suggested pureeing broccoli - which gave me an idea. I stuck 1 cup of lactose free milk and one WAY over ripe banana in the blender and let it go on high for about a minute. It tasted ok, not great but not bad... so I had a second smoothie about an hour later.
That was the ONLY thing I did differently yesterday, the rest of the day was spent with hard boiled eggs on plain white bread. Blah. Anyway, last night I didn't have to get up at all for the bathroom, and this morning my D was more of an applesauce consistency, which feels like a victory since it's been explosive water with food chunks since July 9th!
I know no one else in my life will be excited over this, but I feel really happy about it and I know you guys can appreciate it! I did the same thing this morning, I hope it works! Yeah, so it's not a cure, and it's still D, but I've been really tired of the reverse enema effect. Since it's less urgent I hope it lasts until after my daughter's birthday party on Saturday, it would be so nice to be able to enjoy it without having to wear an adult diaper.
(On a side note, would this drink be considered low residue? Even with the lactose free milk?)
